What you’re saying is so true. I graduated with a Music Business degree from Belmont in 1998 when record labels were the force behind the artist. It is so different now. I am no longer in the business but miss how it was.

Same thing with being a songwriter. They use to be able to drop a demo at the label and someone would listen.... now you have to know someone who knows someone to recommend your song. So hard 🥹
