Just two weeks ago, three young Syrian men trag!cally took the!r own l!ves upon receiving dep0rtation orders to return to Syria, preferr!ng de@th over Assad's prisons. Where can Syrians turn for refuge? In 2006, during Lebanon's time of crisis, Syrians opened their doors to Lebanese refugees, offering them shelter without hesitation, we never even once put up temporary tents at the borders, instead we welcomed them into our homes, even renaming streets in their honor. We are sorry for overstaying our welcome, but I hope you understand, all the rac!sm and horr!fic events Syrians face in Lebanon is nothing in comparison to the atrocities we endured under the Syrian regime. We sincerely ask for your understanding and patience as we await the opportunity to return home.
