Here in the Philippines, the majority of private schools haven't allowed smart phones in class from grade school through junior high school since the early 2000s up until now.

Phones have no place in schools. Their minuscule learning “tool” features are ridiculous anyway. Besides, not everyone has one. Schools should provide digital tools equally for all.

when I was at middle school in norway we hade to putt our phones in what we called a phone hotel at the entrens of the class rome. so is we got a call we can ask to step out to answer

We have cellphone hotells when they walk into classes. They hand them over.
