Write the complaint letter as a Letter Before Action. If they don't reply then take it to small claims. It will cost them more to fight it than pay.

I had a bouncer take my ID bc I “looked too good for my age.” Literallly. Now I get horrible ID photos on purpose.

One bouncer once tried to do that to me so I started dialling 999 on my phone and before I could hit call I was luckily given my id back.

Report to the police via 101 as theft and criminal damage and raise a complaint with the SIA and give the venue the crime reference number just so they are aware of what’s going on

I’d call the Police, right there, and explain they have stolen my ID and I can’t drive away without it, as it’s illegal to drive WITHOUT your license. 🤷♀️So, police would have to come retreive it.
