@westside.capital: Over 15 years ago I made a poor decision that probably cost my wife and I a couple hundred thousand dollars. Maybe even half a million.⁠ ⁠ At the time I thought I made a smart decision by backing out of buying an apartment in Rosebery because I thought my wife and I couldn’t get a loan.⁠ ⁠ With minimal savings, I thought there was no way we could buy a property without a significant deposit.⁠ ⁠ Even if we got the loan, I wasn’t sure we could handle the repayments whilst juggling other debts.⁠ ⁠ But the thing is, we actually could have!
