@whatthepato: I’ve noticed there are more and more interracial couples nowadays, and as someone who is also presently in one, I wasnted to share some “culture shocks” or things that are different about our difficult cultural backgrounds. Personally I find it beautiful that people who have two very different upbringings can love their differences and live together in an even more multicultural household. Maybe I can make a whole video just on this, there’s been so many changing that has come with living with someone from a different cultural upbringing but here’s just one I noticed. Before moving in with my Japanese partner I almost never ate rice at home. I’d eat bread, pasta, or sometimes potatoes as a source of carbs, with rice being a “sometimes” thing. Now not only do I eat rice multiple times a week, but there are things in my fridge that I never had in the house growing up in a very American household!
