at some point I would hope to see an intelligent person move past these issues and become confident and aware of their intelligence. It sounds like some are stuck in their thinking patterns, change the way you think, it's not impossible, speaking from personal experience

I thought the whole idea of "intelligence" was that it makes you more successful in general. if thats not the case whats the meaning/use behind "intelligence" as a concept

Yes, definitely me. Gifted as a child and finished y 1-3 in year 1. No one picked me up from there and from there I got bored and felt different

I feel all this with the difference that I am definitely not highly intelligent 😅 I just have all the traits but fail and the key one: the intelligence 😅

what if you've confirmed your intelligence, so you know at least you're above average by a decent margin? not exactly sure where you land but you know your different.

Yes! Found out at 40 I’m adhd, and when I then got medication and a lot of reading and self study done, it was clear that all my low self esteem, high morals etc is high intelligence.
