I wish however it actually SHOWED Viserys neglecting his kids rather than it being told through dialogue because… when aegon is just a baby in episode 3 he seems relatively happy.

I interpreted it as: he tried to connect with the Green kids but Otto and Alicent poisoned their minds on him. They were told Rhaenyra is the fav so they internalised it and it shaped them.
