calorie deficit 12 hour fasting every night & eating healthy as I can I lost 50 pounds in a year Im not super strict otherwise probably would have lost more but I'm happy with what I have accomplished

no you have to eat less then ur maintenance, for me my maintenance is 2700 so do be in a deficit i need to be in anything below that and for an aggressive cut i would need to be at 1.7k cal
