never rev a motor standing over fan or inline with it. fan blade leaves under rpm your done for. Always stand on driver side back a little next to fender .

I would get rid of the automatic and put a 5 speed manual, electric fan up grade the brakes to start with.

Talking about the cooling fan never never stand over and rev engine manually as you did as I have seen fans self destruct and slice straight through the hood nev to be found scary
