Truckstop has a astonishing amount of these issues, I was running for a small heavy haul company and I was booking my own loads and in the 2 months I was there we had it happen 4 times and they actually had everything lined up and was cleared through the factoring but after delivering they blocked us and never paid

I’m a broker the only thing that I think that you did wrong is called the suspected brokerage back and tell them that you knew that they were scamming you should’ve gone to the police.

I had this happen to me, I did a load from Utah to Massachusetts, as soon as I delivered the double broker ignored my calls, but luckily the BOLs had the original broker info, and got paid thru them.

The load belongs to someone so the shipper or receiver should know who they booked it with and you can get them to pay

That same thing happened to me but I was wise to what they were doing. I told the receiver what was happening and I now just haul his stuff for him when he calls me and we leave the brokers out.
