We had one installed at my grandma's house. She's deaf. It was the only way (besides a vibrating bed. Which never worked for her) to warn of a fire and such. Could be the case in a past renter?

CHECK THE SMOKE ALARMS. Take the cover off, remove the alarm and look at the manufacturer. Some are cameras.

We have a horn and a bed shaker attached to our smoke alarm system. My husband and I are both “vacuum nap” babies 🤣🤣 you can hear our regular alarm clock outside 🖤
