@bratbustersparenting: How do you recommend handling it when kids start demanding you play with them all the time? I would say, okay, so we’re gonna play now, and I’m gonna play for 30 minutes. Set the timer. Then when the timer, then say, okay, five more minutes of play. And then when the timer goes off, say, okay, I gotta go do my mom’s stuff now, my chores or whatever. Set an expectation ahead of time, look like you’re organized. It would be like in school when the alarm goes, then the kids know you go inside after recess. They just understand that cause they understand it’s coming up. P.S. I think the timer thing is cold. You can explain time limits without setting a timer. I did...never had a problem...no timer.
