my ex would start fights every single night so i would stay up. he admitted that he did that bc he didnt want me to go to sleep. that was just one of the few things he did during our "relationship"

When this happened to me I told him he had 2 options: either let me sleep and we can talk about it when we are both rested or I can spend the night in a hotel. Either way the conversation is over.

my late husband would do this and usually on a work night, or when I was half asleep. He stopped doing that after I went through chemo. Our relationship changed a lot before he died.

I always believed going to bed angry is better, that way if you are still angry at the morning then that was something important to talk about, and if not still talk but more on a informative way
