bears don't attack on sight, only polar bears (which weren't part of the hypothetical) & brown bears with cubs do (which also weren't part of the hypothetical because it was 1 bear or 1 man)

I have literally walked around a trailer corner to be almost face to face with a bear and I backed away slowly and was fine but I was almost dragged into the river by a man when I was a minor

I’m finnish. Given the large bear population we’re trained since we’re kids what to do if we come across a bear in the woods. I know what to do. With a man I don’t know how to stop him.
