By law, manufacturers must sell all new cars directly to consumers just like how Tesla does it, or entirely through independently owned franchises aka car dealerships. By the way a Tesla “store” is not a “dealership”. Since car manufacturers dont have any foot in the sales process, like how Apple does with iPhones or Sony sith PS5’s, they can only provide a MSRP and hope that dealers follow it.
