@jay_essence: Unfortunately, my son had to learn this lesson a hard way. But it's definitely a lesson better off learning at age 10 than age 20. LA City vs LA County, Economics, & Education
Yup! Went to Warren in Downey and learned the hard way in college how great the difference in resources was in school districts

Yup! Norwalk here. I turned in my car payment in exchange for private education. Many more opportunities . 🙏 the goal is Don Bosco. Good luck with your boy. You’re doing great!

Harsh lesson, but I applaud you for explaining it to him so eloquently. Praying he uses it as fuel knowing he, unfortunately, has to work harder for his. ❤️

Excellent video and excellent lesson. The whole "school choice" debate takes attention away from the real issue, inequitable funding. You're doing great, and I wish your family the best.

You seem like a great dad. I hate how schools are funded by local real estate, it’s a BROKEN system designed to keep the wealthy wealthy and the poor poor. We need reform.

unfortunately the reality of school systems. its good to explain this to him. there's probably alot if kids that don't understand and develop a "failure" complex and loose intrest.

This was hard to watch for the fact that I know that PHS prepared us to the best of their abilities but I know we lacked in a lot of stuff academically. The struggle is so real them and us to watch ❤️

As a person who grew up in Torrance and went to Torrance schools, helping my nephews who are in Compton schools, with their homework, I can definitely say it's completely different 😭

I did the same thing with my daughter, but it was the other way. She was a fantastic dancer and wanted to pursue her career as a dancer, but had that talk with her to complete her college education.
