If you take a 1k LP assassin and a 1k LP mage player straight to pro play of course the mage player will do better. Their play-style is more suited for Pro play. Here comes the problem though,

I learnt the game through Viktor and i learned well spacing, map awareness, roaming, match strengts, how to play from BEHIND and how to teamfight. Asasins are just for fun champs but doesnt help you

Having the start of onetricking kassadin to challenger then into sylas and finally qiyana laning as a mage should be really natural once you learn X champ, I picked up ori/syndra very easily
