OMG I know this fruit!!! Growing up in Ghana in the 80s all the kids would eat this fruit and then eat lemons because it made the lemons taste sweet, can't remember the local name though

Days we didn’t have lunch in school, we would look for ‘Atoa’ and some unripe oranges and lemons to eat. Ate the ‘Atoa’ first before the lemons and unripe oranges. Made it taste sweet. Knowledge!
