If you want deep end grimdark, The Broken Empire trilogy by Mark Lawrence might be for you. Though it’s a very dark series with a main character whose basically a villain in his world

You should try The Burning series by Evan Winter. The 1st book in the series is The Rage of Dragons. It's good!
