get pet insurance!! my puppy was into everything the first 3-9 months and we went to the vet A LOT. my pet insurance is $30 a month & covers 80% of his visits (even his microchip!) i have spot!

One thing no one warned me about with owning a golden: allergies. I spent $200/every 3 months on meds and shots. Not including speciality food. This is super helpful for people thinking about golden👏

I have a golden retriever myself and I can’t recommend enough emergency insurance. I use Truepanion they cover 90% of any emergency bill. It saved my life on a $6K bill

i’m not sure what brand insurance my parents have for our dog but definitely get it!! my dog has had so many injuries (including tearing her acl) and it has seriously saved our lives.

Not to deter anyone from getting a puppy if that best fits their lifestyle, but my dog costed about $400 inc adoption fee from an animal shelter, and they come fixed and vaccinated

Ppl have laughed but the best thing I did before getting my first dog was open up her own savings acct and start depositing money each paycheck. I now have 2 dogs, they each have their own savings

i have spot pet insurance, though i haven’t had to use it yet, i wish i gotten it earlier, i spent over $3000 in my dogs first year from eating random stuff, not knowing what is normal sickness, ect

Just got Spot pet insurance. It’s cheaper when you have a puppy. I got 90% reimbursement and the platinum package for my pup and it’s $66 a month! $500 deductible and they will cover up to $7000/years

Get pet insurance as soon as you can! I use the aspca pet insurance with the preventative option! Will help cover routine vet visits, shots, dental cleaning, etc. as well :)
