apparently machete is an alt timeline where he didn't make up with the family

Truly, A Goblin :
depending on who you ask, Machete is either the universe where he never made amends with his brother, or that it's just what he does when the kids aren't around.

I thought his whole schtick was "Machete" kinda like "the Rock" and that he showed up as himself in those movies 😂😂😂

My favourite thing is Robert Rodriguez says it’s an alt universe but Danny Trejo says it’s just what Machete does when he’s not looking after the kids 😂

I don't think he's playing the same person in all these movies there more of a nod or an Easter egg to idea Robert had for a movie since Desperado. Even that movie had a nod to machete. He plays a guy named Navajas.

Was spy kids the first time he appeared as Machete? I always thought it was like an established Danny pseudonym.
