@spotsontok: Replying to @Kara & Co. My neighbors also have two sisters they’ve had since puppyhood and they are now 7 and they’ve never had not only aggression but any of the other presentations you mentioned. So it can’t be predictive and if it’s not predictive how is it useful. And what is it about the environment of those dogs that makes them not susceptible to lms. I guess I’ll take a good owner with a plethora of related dogs over a bad owner with unrelated or even a single dog any day
what they also fail to mention conveniently is that as long as you bond and socialize the dogs this "LMS" seems to happen its so uncommon it may aswell be a myth ❤️

We have 2 female litter mates. It’s more common in females, we have 3 other dogs and have had no issue. They slept separate and spent half the day separate as one was mine and the other my sister

It’s not just aggression, it’s like separation anxiety from each other as well. But as long as every dog isn’t sharing everything, it doesn’t happen

We have two brother dachshunds they got in fights when they were puppies but once fixed they were fine, the fights were over little things like stepping on one another

They don’t have to be related to get LMS they just need to be similar in age. Everyone says that they’re fine until they come home to dead dogs or someone gets mauled.

Knowing someone who has adult dogs raised together isn’t evidence, it’s survivor bias. LMS is avoidable when taken seriously and preventative measures are in place.
