@emilieleyes.hypnosis: I used to be a PRO complainer. I named my problems, pains, worries, discomforts, etc out loud every single time it popped into my head. But what happened was the more I talked about it, the more I was bothered by the thing I was talking about. The more my brain naturally “went there”. One day I decided to stop complaining so often. I wanted to see what would happen if I stopped naming my discomfort every time I noticed it, and instead focused my language on solutions. And guess what? ✨I started feeling better✨ This isn’t about ignoring our problems. It’s about shifting our relationship with the problems we’re facing. If I have a headache, naming that my head hurts every 3 mins is not going to make it go away. Of course it’s important to voice our concerns to others when we need support or need to share that information, but be mindful of what purpose that language is serving for you. Instead, speak from a solution perspective. How can you help yourself feel a bit better? What support do you need from others?
