I've never shown you how I test the pH in my soap ✨️ Here you go - I add distilled water to the soap to make it lather and use a litmus paper to test the pH in my soaps. I LOVE how the color changes when you add that tiny strip of litmus paper (reminds me of all the chemistry classes I took) to the wet soap! As you can see, the color (light green) lands somewhere between the pH scale of 8 and 9. Which is amazing!! This always makes me super happy!! 😊 For handmade soaps, you want the pH to land anywhere between 7 and 10.
