I borrowed a friend's barefoot shoes (my shoes were wet) to go to a podiatrist and I got scolded cause they are bad for plantar fasciitis but they hurt less then regular shoes so now im confused

I just wear crocs and candles everywhere. including when shoveling my drive way when it snows. if I have to mow then I'll wear something else but that's only cuz I hate washing my crocs

Idk about anyone else but my tendons in my feet and ankles are tight to the point I can’t walk bear foot anymore without doing stretches for 30 min due to previous injuries and just how my feet are
