Not sure what is considered safe, but I buy the Sojos brand off Amazon. They are UV400. They usually run $12-$16 per pair and last forever.

Pterygium? The general consensus is that the cause is sun exposure but there are many many other unknown factors. If they grow more the yellow tissue can be removed surgically so it’s no big deal!

YES either wear good sunglasses or don't wear them at all. If you don't wear sunglasses your pupils will constrict when its bright or you'll squint your eyes to let less light in. Cheap sunglasses-

My siblings have a science kit that had like a uv light in them and driver’s licenses have uv reactant patterns in them (in the uk anyways) so if we were worried about a pair of sunglasses….

No sunglasses are better than bad sunglasses. Because w/o sunglasses your pupils are just small and less sun is entering the eye

it's better to not wear anything than wear cheap glasses its because when u have nothing on while outside your pupille shrinks a bit naturally and it stops most of sun rays to not go through the eye +
