Bob update, since so many of you have asked. 💛 A few weeks ago our golden retriever stopped eating, and we found out he has lymphoma. He's 4 and a half. Because he didn’t display the normal lymphoma symptoms (enlarged neck or limb lymph nodes), it took quite some time to figure out what was going on. During that time, the disease started attacking his bone marrow and by the time we figured out that he had lymphoma, his platelets dropped to a dangerous level leading him to be hospitalized for a few days. His oncologist keeps reminding us that he's still recovering from how sick he got before we even started treatment, and that it'll take time for him to fully feel like himself again, but we’re seeing glimmers of his normal goofy self. Today, he wanted to get the mail and that’s the first time he was excited to do-so in such a long time! I'll be real, I was really hesitant about chemo for dogs. I pictured it being miserable for him and wasn't sure I wanted to put him through that. But so far, so good. He's eating again (and asking for more), his bloodwork is heading the right direction, and a little more of the old Bob shows up every day. Thank you all for your love and support, the comments and stories have helped more than you know. For now he's feeling good, so he's doing what he does best. Getting the mail.
