Story points work for well established teams and their typical way of breaking down work into stories. Personally I agree that if one can estimate in days- then do so - it's more intuitive

the point of story points is to intentionally have some fuzzy room in there for planning. then people IMMEDIATELY translate points to days and make it pointless
