@thesafetydoctor: 👇🏾 Safety Tip. CCTV captured this attempted kidnapping at a drive-thru. Police have since taken a suspect into custody. .. ⚠️ Here are 3 safety tips for preventing possible attacks or kidnapping at Drive Thru Window 💧💧 1. Restrict Window Opening and Secure the Area: • Keep the drive-thru window closed when not actively handing out orders to prevent unauthorized access. Employ locks or secure mechanisms that can quickly close the window. Additionally, installing a barrier or secondary internal window that allows transactions but limits physical access can provide extra security. 💧💧 2. Implement Emergency Communication Protocols: • Equip the drive-thru station with a panic button or a direct line to local law enforcement that can be discreetly activated in case of an emergency. Train employees on specific protocols to follow if they feel threatened, including code words that can be communicated to other staff without alerting the potential attacker. 💧💧 3. Maintain Vigilance and Use Surveillance: • Install high-quality video surveillance cameras with clear views of both the drive-thru and customer areas. Ensure these are monitored, either by staff internally or by a security service. Encourage employees to stay alert and be aware of their surroundings, especially during interactions with each vehicle. Observing and reporting any suspicious behavior promptly can preempt potential threats. .. .. .. .. ..
