Footage released by BNPB Indonesia shows the volcanic lightning and lava as the volcano erputed on Tuesday. The alert level for Mt Ruang had been raised to Level 4, or “Watch,” early on Tuesday, officials said, and Sam Ratulangi International Airport was closed down amid visibility concerns.
