First, here’s the HOW: 1️⃣ Choose Your Container: Start with a clean glass container with a loose lid — fermentation will create gas so you do not want your container to be air tight. 2️⃣ Add Feed: Fill the container about 1/4 full with chicken feed. I love using the MASH feed from @Scratch and Peck Feeds 3️⃣ Add Water: Pour in enough water to keep the feed submerged. 4️⃣ Wait: Let the mixture sit for 3 days at room temperature and make sure the feed stays submerged during this time. Feed that is not submerged might mold. 5️⃣ Feed Your Flock: After 3 days, stir well and serve to your happy chickens! WHY ferment chicken feed? 💚 Nutrition Boost! Chickens will generally eat the mash dry? I want to buy this because somedays I want to ferment it. I just don’t want mine picking and choosing, therefore wasting my money. 😆 They’ve been eating crumbles since birth.
