@jarrettisnotimpressed: I happened upon this little treasure trove when I was surfing Yelp one day…the people on there seemed to love it, so I wanted to check out @hudsonandalphonse for myself!! According to the owner, the name comes from a corner in Rochester, NY where shops like this serve sandwiches like they’ve got here…have you ever heard of a ROCHESTER CHEESESTEAK? Neither have I until this day!! While I thought this place was gonna be an actual deli, they mainly serve these chopped sandwiches from veggie to halal steak, Hudson & Alphonse has some sandwich to fit your dietary needs. I ordered the “SHAM SHAM,” which is a steak sub chopped with colorful peppers, onions, and served on a hoagie roll with kale me Miracle Whip….oh the meat is also seasoned with your choice of marinade (all kinds of flavors like jerk or Boss Sauce). I got the hot Boss Sauce on my sandwich and it definitely kicked the flavors up a notch!! The flavors on this sandwich were so good and married with each other so well…adding more boss sauce to the bite you’re about to take is definitely the move here!!
