most of a humans iron isn't in the blood, using only blood it would take many more men. lots of iron is in the eyes and bone marrow, practically anything red has iron.

at the risk of being the buzzkill, I think this is just combat experience. the sword isn't stronger, the fighter is just a better fighter than he was before he started defeating opponents.

I'm so glad they cleared up the size issue. I was trying to convert to freedom units because that seemed like a pretty good size for a sword. remember kids. Swords aren't heavy. You're just weak.
