when I used to work in a comp repair shop we would take bets on which brand a broken hinge belonged to, it was almost always Asus/Acer/HP and MSI (circa 2017)

My work was a coffee and keyboard place, sometimes isobornyl alcohol works other times new top piece (non replaceable keyboards yeah)

My weird flex (no pun intended) is that my HP Envy 360 has EVERY issue under the sun (including BIOS errors literally after one week) but the hinges are one of the few things that work FLAWLESSLY 😭
