Goldman Sachs just confirmed AI is erasing 16,000 US jobs every month. Gen Z is first in line. 25,000 positions are being eliminated by AI substitution each month, partially offset by 9,000 AI-augmented roles - a net loss of 16,000 jobs. Gen Z is hardest hit because they’re concentrated in exactly the routine white-collar roles AI automates fastest: data entry, customer service, legal support, billing. Entry-level software developer employment among workers aged 22–25 is already down nearly 20% since 2024.
