I remember when I went to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam...I could feel his emotions transpire through his paintings, like deep sadness, solitude, depression...I walked out with tears in my eyes 🥹

He was also colorblind apparently! I learned this when I went to the experience, he painted using only the specific color pallet and that’s why you see so many vibrant strokes of different colors-

Vincent and Theo is a great book based on the letters between the brothers. It was actually Theo’s wife that got Vincent work to be seen to the world after both brothers died. Heartwarming book
