@casoporcasos: The story of twin brothers Alex and Marcus Lewis. In 1982, Alex was riding his motorcycle when he had an accident that would change his entire life. This is because, after three months in a coma, the young man, who was just 18 years old at the time, lost his memory. He has forgotten everything about his life: except, in an unexpected twist, the existence of his twin brother. Marcus started to have the role of explaining to his brother what their lives were like, what their parents were like, their two younger brothers, their routines at home. He described their childhood and adolescence, talked about their friends, their hobbies, and also about the moments they spent together. The brothers had shared much of their lives together, and there was no one better for the task. That's when the dark truth came out. When the twins were 32 years old, their mother died. Alex was cleaning his parents' house with his brother after his mother's funeral when they discovered a secret closet full of sex toys. However, that wasn't what caught Alex's attention, but rather the locked drawer inside the furniture. After much insistence, he managed to open it and discovered a mutilated photograph of himself and his brother naked when they were still children in which they were both in uncomfortably sexual positions. At that moment, Marcus Lewis confessed that they had been molested and sexually abused throughout their childhood and early adolescence by their own mother. When Alex finally found out what had happened to him, he had "all the emotional responses." The twin felt anger, relief and sadness. "I feel like he saved me - I didn't have the capacity to deal with the memory of the abuse right after my accident." In defense, Marcus responded that the memories were too painful and rewriting history for Alex was also a way to forget what had happened. “I reached a point where I no longer believed I had been abused. I created this fake life for myself too. So I knew that telling him was like telling myself that. confessed Marcus Lewis. #cases #criminals #truecrime #usa #fypシ #sad #bothers #lewis

I wonder tho if these hidden memories still affected him tho. I had memory loss after an assault & couldn’t remember but I was scared all the time & it wasn’t until I remembered that I started healing

I think about these brothers a lot , even how they were made to sleep in a out house type shed not even in the family home aswell . The sheer amount of abuse they both suffered. Haunting

This was one of the saddest documentaries I’ve seen. Broke me. That poor twin who kept the secret for his brother. I think he might still keep some of it secret to not hurt his brother more 😭
