@dontgobaconmyheart_: Day 11 | 30 days of 30 minute dinners 😋 Sometimes you’ve got an itch that needs scratching and these were my itch 😅 Because sometimes the only dinner that’ll cut the mustard is loaded fries! Enjoy! Chris x CHEESEBURGER LOADED WAFFLE FRIES | Serves 3-4 INGREDIENTS ➡️CHEESEBURGER FRIES: 500g / 1lb Minced/Ground Beef (12% or less works great) 1 tsp Plain Flour 1/2 tsp EACH: Salt, Garlic Powder 1/4 tsp Black Pepper 120ml / 1/2 cup Beef Stock 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce 1x 550g/1.2lb bag of Frozen Waffle Fries* 150-200g / 1 1/2 - 2 cups freshly grated Cheddar Tomato, gherkins/pickles, onion (all finely diced) pinch of sesame seeds ➡️SAUCE: 4 tbsp Full Fat Mayo 2 tbsp Ketchup 2 tsp Classic Yellow Mustard 2 tsp Pickle Juice (Gherkin in UK, Dill Pickle in US) 1/2 tsp Sugar (or to taste) 1/4 tsp Onion Powder 1/4 tsp Salt (or to taste) METHOD 1️⃣Air Fryer (option 1): Place baking paper in the base of the air fryer, ensuring you leave enough around the sides to be able to pull out the fries at the end. Spread out the waffle fries and cook for 12 mins on 'max crisp' (240C/460F), shaking a couple of times during. Alternatively, use your preferred setting and cook until hot & crispy. Baking (option 2): Spread the fries out on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Cook to package instructions (typically 200C/400F for 15-20mins). 2️⃣Whilst the fries are cooking, add a drizzle of oil to a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and break it up with your wooden spoon until browned. Stir in the flour, salt, garlic powder and black pepper, then stir in the stock and Worcestershire sauce. Continue frying and stirring until all the liquid gets soaked up and the beef is juicy and no longer watery. Combine sauce ingredients and adjust to preference if needed. 3️⃣Top the cooked fries with the beef, then sprinkle over the cheese. Cook for another 3-4 mins (air fryer at 190C/375F, oven at 180C/350F) or until the cheese melts. If using the air fryer, lift the baking paper and place the fries on a tray, then add your preferred amount of each topping. *I get my waffle fries from Morrisons in the frozen section. You can also get refrigerated waffle fries from Sainsbury's, which are next to the refrigerated pizzas. These come in 300g packs, so you'll need two. I'm sure other supermarkets will sell them too.
