my grandparents gave my aunt their waffle maker they bought in the 50s. it still works.somewhere along the line they realized there's more $ in making things last only 5 years.

Apple ear pods (the wired ones) keep faulting on me after about a year. And I have iPhone 11 so I don’t have a normal headphone jack opening. Terrible

People would be amazed that with only limited mechanical ability how much stuff they can fix. Recently repaired friends 2 year old Samsung 65” TV, 30 minutes at under $60 including shipping and tax.

We have lived in our house 22 years, on our 3rd water, 2nd water softener, 3rd pump, 2nd dishwasher, 2nd fridge, just replaced our roof for the second time! Appliances are the worst!!

I think technology is great, but the products are incredibly wasteful. Buy a real watch if you need one & just stay with a smart phone.
