it's called the guiding pin. every time anyone does brake, they need to clean and lubricate the guiding pins. I hope anyone finds this helpful

She’s wrong. Vaseline cannot handle high temperature. It will melt off you need special grease that can handle high temperature for brakes

White lithium grease is better. And someone said until you hit the brakes and the pads get adjusted. I agree with that statement 😁
