my son was suspected to have ASD but due to covid we were a bit lost in the shuffle for almost 3yrs due to him needing low intervention. he's 7 now & his diagnosis are ADHD, OCD & high iq/ gifted. 1/2

Y’all are real comfortable criticizing Amanda Seales without context. Do you know how often Black women are misdiagnosed or dismissed in medical settings? We have the highest maternal mortality rate in the U.S. not because our bodies are broken, but because the system is. Studies show Black women are 3 to 4 times more likely to die during childbirth due to medical neglect. We’re also consistently underdiagnosed for autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent conditions because of racist and sexist medical bias. So if you’re shocked a doctor didn’t diagnose her correctly, you haven’t been paying attention. Don’t come for her come for the system that fails us over and over again.
