I think the incessant crying mixed with sleep deprivation breaks us down. Give me a toddler meltdown every 30-45 minutes any day vs. lack of sleep and screaming

I felt like the true toddler meltdowns don’t actually happen until they’re like 2-3 years old. They’re not really babies but they’re not a big kid so they get so upset and confused all the time.

Honestly, I agree. I got an almost two year old and a 3 month old and I tolerate my almost two year old more. I know it won’t last very long and we talk through the emotions he’s feeling.

I tell my daughter all the time “you can be upset but we still can’t *whatever it is*”. She gets past it pretty easily. The first few in public were rough though!

My son is 2.5 and so so sweet. But, when he has tantrums, it's sooo hard! phew! Terrible 2s for sure 😂

My babies don’t do a lot of crying so the toddler tantrum era is a lot harder to me. Not really even the tantrums but the constantly putting themselves in danger and not being able to look away

When my daughter was your age, i didn’t mind the tantrums. Now that she’s an older toddler it is much different than it was then. It’s tough af 😭

I don’t have kids sadly- but I am a daycare teacher. So toddlers are my jam 🤣 despite how wild they are. Maybe try next time letting him “help” you put the lid on. They like to be involved❤️

I agree with you. I can almost always pin poing ghee cause of the tantrum now but new born crying I felt helpless when it wasn’t the go tos like feeding, diaper , etc

i love my babies .. butttt wow my oldest was rough as a baby too. my youngest was a gem and easier. but skip to 11 and 9 both girls .. the attitudes! parenting isn’t easy lol

My baby was so calm and easy and now she’s in a 16 months and the whining and fits have started and I’m struggling🥴 my baby never cried but as a toddler, she is so emotional and it’s rough🤣

our boy was like that as a baby, turns out he had oral ties and it gave him terrible gas because improper latch to the bottle etc. once we had them revised he was a DIFFERENT BABY

I feel the same. Not knowing why, when they are babies, is the worst. I agree about knowing and then fixing it together. Also you can talk to them and for the most part they understand you.
