I'm a carrier ethernet/data center tech for Comcast so maybe I don't understand the IT guy side. Why would you be having DNS problems? The address should never change?

this one time... I accidently created a network loop... but wasn't sure where across 9 switches.... took everything down... why loopback protection isn't on by default is beyond me
