The last apartment I lived in FORGED my signature on the condition move in sheet. I had to view my contracts online for something else and I was like, that’s not my signature!!

I always do a walkthrough with the LL on move in AND move out day. The 1 time I didn’t, I got scammed big time. Never again!

South Carolina is the same way! Can’t charge more than what we pay to turn the apartment. One management company I worked for we had a move out form that had each charge listed out and the cost

I moved into an apartment (I had 1yr old and was pregnant so we were desperate) I asked for that slip and they told me the apartment was fine. they charged us for stuff that was already there 😕

Wait I never received one of these when I moved into my apartment it’s my first time and a couple of things were messed up when I moved in. I didn’t get to see the apartment before move in

I learned too late about that list my place has gone through two property management companies and they are both slum lord type companies. I’m moving in the next two weeks. Learned my lesson for sure.
