Watched a guy using one of these the other day while I was waiting on a fertilizer tender, I thought they were just putting those in a silage bag, was pretty neat to watch them wrap up a bunch of wet

Most common is 8 wraps per bale. Which looks like what thats putting on. We use vermeer wrapper travels same speed but it auto senses bale being dropped in wrapper and automatically starts wrapping.

I usually use 10 wraps. That looks like what he is doing. Those are 30 rolls of plastic so if it moves ahead 3 inches each wrap that equals 10 wraps. I charge $5 per bale plus plastic. So $10 a bale

In the long term cost is it cheaper to wrap them as to stacking in a barn? I’m from New Mexico and we mostly stack in barns but not many of ours down here do round bales. I’m just curious.

Honest question, if this is to keep moisture out to keep it from molding, don’t rodents chew through and it gets moisture in it through rodent holes?
