In 10 years when my back is a problem I’ll start using a clutch jack 😂 if you started now you’d probably get 15 years instead of 10

I hang solo clutches on the trans. not sure what makes it impossible. plenty of room at least on our application to get an electric or air ratchet on the cage bolts to remove them.

All I’m going to say is that Eaton says you are not supposed to put the clutch on the input shaft due to it’s weight

the only proper way to hang a solo clutch is to hang it over the scrap bin......then drop it in👌

I put my disc and intermediate plate on my line up shaft and hang them in the pilot bearing then slide the pressure plate over and hold it on the flywheel

when you're hanging the clutch, do you tighten the pressure plate down one at a time in a circle or do you do it in a crisscross pattern??

Found out spicer bellhousings don’t let you do that. Not enough room to they the bolts in

With a solo all you do it the same as the Manual when you bolt you the clutch bolts undo the caging bolt as long as the 2 mounting bolts are TIGHT under that caging bolt

keeps the total package shorter too so you can usually sneak them out without dropping tanks, pumps etc

I’ve only ever installed them on the input shaft, solo clutches you just gotta bar the engine over several times
