If they share it directly from Tik Tok to message (by selecting messages from the option vs copy and pasting link) then Tik Tok can access that data

Because they sent the msg from tik tok. The original msg was drafted inside of tik tok and you both have your number synced

I suspect that during the transmission they can collect other information to act upon, like the data that can be collected on a site that triggers an automation that sends you an email "I see you..."

I hate it. You have to strip all the extra tracking they stuff in the URL before sending. Ie, copy, paste in to browser, press go, then delete back to just the video url w/out tracking.

Yea. iOS apps are supposed to be sandboxed so it shouldn’t have access to anything else you don’t explicitly give tik tok access to but I don’t remember doing so either.
