Arizona gets their water from other states, so people do flood irrigation instead of drip irrigation because it doesn't impact them directly.

arizona uses flood irrigation. i was shocked. here we are using drip irrigation and being waterwise in colorado so az can just let it flow freely and evaporate and no water restrictions.
