my parents use to leave me in my car seat and would stay awake with me because the only way i would sleep at night would be in my car seat after being driven around because i had stomach issues

The “actually we are not supposed to” comes out of my mouth at least 6 times a day and I hate it. To be the one knowing and enforcing safety measures was never a role I solely wanted.

I'm on the dad's side here. Whenever my colicky daughter fell asleep in her car seat (except on hot days!) I'd leave the windows down and sit in the grass or on our porch so she could nap
